Darmian misses Italy

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Matteo Darmian misses life back in Italy. The Manchester United defender has been at Old Trafford since back in 2015, when he made the switch from Torino. The 29 year old started off his youth career with AC Milan and even turned professional for them, before a one year stint with Palermo and then a four year run with Torino – where he was considered to be one of their biggest and best stars of recent years.

Ironically enough, though, AC aren’t one of the primary Italian teams believed to be interested in signing him. Napoli, Roma, Juventus and Inter Milan have all been heavily rumoured with a move for Darmian, and every single one of those would make sense for him. If he’s serious about how much he misses Italy then it seems like onl…

Valencia in for Hernandez

that Valencia are ready to make a £40m move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

The twenty-eight year old moved to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 having spent the 2014/15 campaign on loan with Real Madrid, and is on the radar of a number of clubs after netting thirty-three times in forty-eight appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.

During his time at Old Trafford, the Mexico international scored fifty-nine times in one hundred and fifty-seven games in all competitions and was part of the squad that won the Premier League title in both 2011 and 2013.

The former Guadalajara forward has been capped eighty-six times for his country, scoring forty-five times and featured for them in both the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa and t…

´Grandpa is not dead!´ – Giroud insists he has no plans to call time on France career

Olivier Giroud has insisted he has no intention of calling time on his France career after Euro 2020 and says he still has the hunger of a 20-year-old .

The Chelsea striker, who turns 35 in September, has fallen down Les Blues pecking order following Karim Benzema s shock return to the national team last month after a near six-year exile.

He was an unused substitute in France s 1-0 win over Germany in their Group F opener and played the final 14 minutes in Saturday s 1-1 draw with Hungary.

Giroud has previously suggested Euro 2020 will be his final campaign with France, but he has now declared that he has plenty more to give to his national side.

I m not finished, far from it. Count on me, grandpa is not dead! Giroud, who was one of the key members of F…

Obiang close to Fiorentina move

Fiorentina are close to securing the signing of Pedro Obiang from West Ham United, according to in Italy.

The midfielder has made only 17 appearances for the Hammers this season. Most of those were as a substitute off the bench, as was the case in their on Saturday when captain Mark Noble and young Declan Rice, who scored the winning goal, were picked ahead of him. And with the recent addition of former Arsenal and Manchester City player Samir Nasri who seems to have already slotted in, Obiang has apparently become surplus to requirements.

The 26-year-old Equatorial Guinea international has been linked with a move to Serie A before. During last summer, reports spoke about talks between West Ham and Sampdoria about his potential return to the club he left in 2015. Howe…

Mata braced for ´difficult month´ at Man United

Juan Mata said Manchester United are facing a defining month as they prepare to meet Premier League rivals Chelsea and take on Juventus in the Champions League.

United are eighth and seven points off the pace ahead of their trip to joint-leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Red Devils have already lost three Premier League matches this season as pressure mounts on under-fire manager Jose Mourinho, who has been at the centre of reports of dressing-room unrest in Manchester.

It does not get any easier for Mourinho, with Juventus travelling to Old Trafford on Tuesday before the Serie A champions host United in Turin on November 7, while a derby against Manchester City looms four days later.

United midfielder Mata – who scored in the club s r…

Lille reject Liverpool offer for Leny Yoro

According to , Liverpool have had an offer of €50 million for Leny Yoro rejected by LOSC Lille.

The Merseysiders need a new centre-back to replace Joel Matip, who will officially leave the club at the end of the month as a free agent. They appear to have identified Yoro as a prime candidate for the role, but their pursuit of the 18-year-old defender doesn t seem to be going well.

Lille are believed to have rejected Liverpool s offer because they want at least €60m for Yoro s services, but that s not the only problem. They face competition from Real Madrid, and the teenager is said to be favouring a move to the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of all other options. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly hold an interest as well.

Tuchel wants to deny Liverpool history, praises Werner turnaround

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel told reporters he is not interested in Liverpool s hunt for a quadruple this season, and also gave credit to Timo Werner for finding form after the Blues 2-0 FA Cup win against Crystal Palace.

Against Crystal Palace, Chelsea controlled throughout, with 67 per cent possession and double the amount of shots, but did not break the deadlock until the 65th minute through Ruben Loftus-Cheek, before Mason Mount doubled the advantage in the 76th minute.

With the win, they earned a spot in the FA Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley on May 14. It is Chelsea s third consecutive season making the final, losing 2-1 to Arsenal in 2020, and losing 1-0 against Leicester City in 2021.

Liverpool is still alive in the Premier League and Champions Leagu…

Juventus interested in Laporte

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Juventus are ready to make an approach to try and sign Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City.

Laporte has been an important member of the first team at the Etihad since arriving back in 2018, but with John Stones and Ruben Dias forming a solid partnership in defence, many believe the time has come for Laporte to explore his options elsewhere.

Pep Guardiola is building a squad that is quite clearly capable of making serious noise both domestically and in Europe, and if he wants to maximise the squad in the best way possible, then depth needs to be a key part of his plan moving forward.

Alas, someone like Laporte is clearly capable of doing much more than just being a back-up defender, and Juventus are seemingly happy t…

Fletcher hopeful ´wanted man´ Howe will stay

Steve Fletcher rates Eddie Howe as the best young manager in England by a million miles and believes it will take an incredible offer to prise him away from Premier League-bound Bournemouth.

Howe has worked wonders at Dean Court, taking the south-coast club from the brink of dropping out of the Football League to sealing promotion to the top flight in the space of six years.

The 37-year-old kept Bournemouth up on the last day of the 2008-09 season, despite the fact that they were hit with a 17-point deduction for going into administration and then masterminded two promotions either side of a short spell at Burnley.

Howe s stock has risen even further with Bournemouth having all-but sealed a place in the Premier League place for the first time in their history.…
